About Closact
Closact began with a simple observation: secured lending closings still run on email threads, scanned PDFs, and last minute scrambles. Our founders saw it from the inside, manual drafting and edits of transaction documents, multiple staff performing due diligence, lawyers chasing documents and signatures. We started Closact to give legal and financial teams a system that matches the rigour of the work, with AI that does the reading, structuring, and tracking so humans can focus on judgment.
Closact was founded in 2025 in Canada. Mike, a lawyer and MBA, had spent years inside secured lending transactions and kept seeing the same friction: brilliant counsel doing low leverage, manual work because of an outdated, paper-based system. He partnered with Ivan, an engineer who had built secure document systems at scale, and Jordan, a revenue leader who understood how legal and financial services teams actually buy and adopt new tools.
Together, we set out to build the closing platform we wished we had: fast, accurate, automated, auditable. Today, Closact helps Canadian legal and financial teams move from intake to perfection with a fraction of the manual lift, while keeping every document and every step audit ready.

Chief Executive Officer
With decades of business and financial law experience at firms like Stikeman Elliott and MLT Aikins, banks like RBC, and fintechs like Block, Mike's legal expertise focuses on financial services and technology, complimented by a JD/MBA from Queen's University. Mike has spent years closing secured lending transactions before founding Closact to fix the workflow he lived through firsthand. He also climbed Mt. Everest in 2018.

Chief Technology Officer
Master of Computer Science from the University of Alberta and a long time AI practitioner, working on applied machine learning before it became mainstream. Previously at IBM and Synopsys, where he contributed to static analysis tooling used to verify systems as critical as the Mars Rover and the Linux kernel. Leads architecture, AI, and infrastructure at Closact.

Chief Revenue Officer
Jordan is a seasoned business leader with a proven track record of driving growth and leading high performing teams across multiple startups and scale-ups, including several successful exits. Most recently Senior Director, Global Markets and Revenue at BMO Radicle, his operating experience is complemented by an MBA with a specialty in finance from the University of Calgary.
